Best Beef Chow Fun San Francisco
1. Hunan Cafe #2
We ordered beef chow fun, mapo tofu and chicken in black bean sauce with a side of rice. Great portion size and taste!
If you ever want something thats not on the menu, just ask for it! (within reason). Want spicy vegetables with noodles? no problem, Chicken and JUST broccoli, spicy? Easy! They can do anything :)
Lily is the sweetest woman ever. She remembered me after 2 years! Food is great here, get the Mongolian beef with rice.
2. Kam Po Kitchen
A real neighborhood spot. The chow fun is a little oily for my taste but you can't beat the porridge. $3 bucks gets you a glass of tea and at least a quart and a half of jook.
The chef know his recipe for the cheap price This place is worth it . Gravy seafood chow fun, bitter melon with beef , gravy shrimp egg, the list goes on
cash only but really worth it. all BBQ items are great. not sure what to order. give 🍜 BBQ pork with wonton noodles a try. Chinese comfort food. you will love it.
It's seriously the best dim sum place in San Francisco. Everything is delicious from the soup dumplings to the lobster har gow to the Kobe beef chow fun. Frankly, I'm obsessed with this place.
My new fav dimsum place in town. Will def come back to try everything.
Be ready for a long line
4. MaMa Ji's
I love this place. The fried shrimp dumpling they have at lunch time are so good but all their dim sum is fantastic. Beef chow fun and fried rice is a must as well
The dim sum is fantastic. Don't miss the turnip with shrimp and pork
Crispy fried eggplant was better than 95% of the French fries I've ever had. Don't miss the dry fried green beans. Addictive!
5. Kingdom of Dumpling
Try the vegetable & tofu chow fun - Love
This tiny place offers really good and reasonable dishes. Worth to stopping by.
Xiao Long Bao. One order for each person should be enough… to start.
6. R&G Lounge 嶺南小館
Amazing food! Try the salt & pepper crab, special beef, roast duck, honey walnut shrimp and chow fun!
Very good Cantonese food here, the seafood very fresh! Order crabs and shrimps. Always a lot of people during dinner time, so reservation is recommended.
What a whirlwind of crushed claws, flying crab shells, a spray of rich, moist and oh-so-tasty crab meat. This is a sign of a good restaurant. – Anthony Bourdain, No Reservations
Found a worm in my beef chow fun with Chinese broc! Moved the worm an continued eating. Why? Cuz I hate seeing food go to waste and the worm was just extra protein :-) AND most of all its cheap here!
The roast duck here is supremely delicious! Get it with the special sauce and rice to make for a flavorful (albeit carb-loaded) lunch
Can't decide which is greasier: the food or the carpet.
8. HRD
order the BBQ pork chow fun. perfect for lunch.
The salmon burgers are not on the menu yet, but they are delicious. Special spicy mayonnaise rocks! They also have turkey burgers off the menu.
Mongolian Beef Cheesesteak is the business
9. Jasmine Garden
Seafood pho lacks seafood and isn't on the menu but still tasty. Chow fun special is tasty and packed with seafood. Beef dish comes with salad and thin fried potatoes on top. So yum!
Ask for the pho menu when you sit down. It's different from the regular menu and has all the good stuff.
Nummy pho, order it at dinner even though it's only on the lunch menu!
9 People, 10 Dishes, 2 Soups, eating family style. Only cost us $84! Best dish of the night for us, Beef Chow Fun (Stir fried flat wide noodles with beef)!
The salt and pepper chicken wings are awesome. Their weekday lunch specials are $4.60 and includes rice. Also super awesome.
Pot Stickers are great. Chicken chow mien and honey walnut shrimp. All are awesome
11. Yan's Kitchen
Yan & Mei are awesome. Great lunch specials! Get the chicken chow fun spicy. Top notch!
Black mushrooms and bok choy dish was really good. Can't go wrong with Mongolian beef too
Six bucks for appetizer and entree ! What a deal!
12. Dragon Well
great food! love the jook!
Take The mongolian beef
Pork pot stickers are the best I've had since I can remember. Also, the wonton noodle soup w/no noodles comes in delicate broth with hints of garlic -- accompanied by white meat chicken and prawns.
13. The Royal Cuckoo
I love this dive bar lovers type dive. They have a fantastic whisk{e}y list plus an extensive cocktail list. I'd never leave this place if I lived closer.
It's dark in here, and there are dead animals hanging from the walls, but records spinning and divine libations make it Eater's go-to in the Outer Mission/Bernal nabe.
Dimly lit, sexy, hodgepodge of mid-century thrift store lamps, paintings, & furniture accented with shades of red. A strong small batch spirits selection.
14. Sweet Delight Bakery
Pork buns, siu mai, har gow, sticky rice. Nice little version of Good Luck Dim Sum in the Excelsior.
Maybe the best pork bun I've ever had.
15. Wild Pepper
Soft tofu with chili and scallions. So simple yet so tasty!
Dry Braised Meatless Chicken and Five Flavor Meatless Chicken are a MUST TRY.
